Josh roos

Josh is a native Nebraskan, born into a pastor’s family that eventually moved to Mexico as missionaries for four years (as a result, he speaks fluent Spanish). At age nine, Josh started playing Alto Saxophone in his school band.  He played Lead roles in the Lexington High School Marching Band, Concert Band, Drumline and a select Jazz Band.  He was also an avid performer in school musicals and show choir.  Josh began Guitar at age twelve and continued through high school, college and beyond. 

 He graduated Valedictorian of Lexington High School in Nebraska and went on full scholarship to the University of Nebraska.  There he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Triple Major in Psychology, Spanish and International Studies and Minors in Political Science and Communications. He was a Regents scholar on the Deans List and served as Chaplain for his Fraternity.  He is also a graduate from the School of Ministry at Bethel Church in Redding, CA, where he met his lovely wife Liz.

Liz began playing Piano at age three.  She performed “Fur Elise” at the Manhattan School of Music at age five – the first of many concert piano performances.  She studied under world-renown Juilliard piano professor and author Lorina Havill.  Liz has performed in a variety of venues which include accompaniment to various musicals, weddings, choir accompaniment and playing with church worship bands. Her piano lessons ensure students will be educated in music theory and proper technique through a variety of music genres including Classical, Pop, Broadway and more.

In 1995, Liz obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University. She is a graduate of the prestigious Bethel School of Worship in Redding, CA where she studied under Paul Baloche, Jeremy Riddle, Brian & Jenn Johnson and Bethel Music.  In 2013, Liz graduated from the School of Ministry at the Vineyard Church of Laguna Niguel, CA. 


Casi Kurzeja

Casi began her formal piano and vocal training at age 5 in the suburbs of Chicago.  She has studied under Ms. Flood Amory, Mary Lagere, Thomas Doody and Liz Roos. 

As the oldest of 4 siblings, she loves working with children. She is passionate about sharing the freedom and confidence that music has given her to the next generation of musicians. Her goal is to equip them with the training necessary to develop their passions and talents - whether it is to be a professional singer, worship leader or classical pianist.

When she is not teaching piano lessons, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and writing. She is a missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission).  Over the years she has done youth ministry and outreaches in Australia, India, Malaysia, France, Greece, Costa Rica and Mexico. Casi attends Mountain View Church and is an active member of her community.

Aaron was born and raised right here in Mission Viejo and started his musical career with piano and voice lessons at the age of 7. He has been writing songs and playing the Ukulele, Acoustic, Bass and Electric Guitars for over a decade, and enjoys leading worship in many of the local churches. He is a graduate of the Calvary School of Worship and the United Pursuit School of Worship and is currently a student at the Berklee College of Music.

Aaron is also a Certified Fitness Trainer and a Certified Nutritionist who loves to surf and skate. He has a heart for working with the Youth and volunteers with Young Life, a nonprofit high school ministry.




Joey Spurgeon

Joey is a San Clemente native and is on staff at the local Shoreline Church as a Worship Leader for the past few years.  He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Psychology at Vanguard University after graduating from San Clemente High School. Joey is a graduate of the United Pursuit School of Worship and is currently studying music production and sound engineering at the Berklee College of Music.

Joey took private guitar lessons for close to a decade and has produced and recorded music with various local artists.  He has a God-given passion for teaching music and enjoys teaching guitar, voice and performance piano. He has been songwriting for guitar and piano as long as he can remember and enjoys teaching his students to do the same. In addition to leading worship at Shoreline Church on Sunday mornings, he plays at numerous other venues locally and Internationally.

Austin Garner

Austin graduated as one of the Valedictorians with a 4.4 GPA from San Juan Hills High School, where he was a Section Leader and Piano Accompanist in Choir. He is a Music and Neurology Major at Saddleback Community College with a focus in Child Development and Pedagogy. He aims to be an expert in the Neurological processes associated with musical learning.

Passionate about performance and education - Austin has been studying music since he began playing the guitar with his mom at age 8. He has studied piano under Liz Roos and Dr. Kirill Gliadkovsky, voice under Dr. Scott Farthing and commercial music under Dr. Ariel Alexander. 

Austin hopes to inspire his students the same way he has been inspired by his own music instructors - and help them to develop the skills necessary for achieving their musical goals.
