CONFIDENTIALITY

It is crucial that confidentiality is maintained for all students and employees. As Administrative Staff, you have access to personal and confidential data of employees and students. It is important that you use discretion about the following:

Regarding Employees

  • Sickness - due to HIPAA guidelines it is absolutely not to share the reason for an employee’s sickness. If a teacher is out, simply tell students that the teacher is “out sick”.

Regarding Students

  • Sickness - even if a student is sick and tells you the reason, please do not share the reason to the teacher or rest of the staff.
